Happy Tuesday Folks,

It's a rainy, windy, yucky one here! Some truths for this Tuesday morning:

1) I will be very upset with myself if winter comes and I never took the time to go to Elk Creek Hunt Club to shoot clay pigeons.

2) I want to go to a UK Football game...stat!

3) If the Bengals don't start winning we may feel compelled to sell our season tickets :(

4) I need to join a gym...badly...very badly.

5) I haven't had my nails done in over a month and it really STINKS! (High maintenance...I know).

6) I ran out of gas on the the expressway in a horrible spot a couple of weeks ago and almost did it again this morning.

7) There are so many movies I want to see but I hate spending my time in a theater (or even watching a movie at home unless it's a really funny one).

8) I would like a trip to Kenwood Mall and cocktail hour/dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with my girlfriends and my mom (if anyone of you are reading this, why aren't we there right now?)!

9) I'm in love with the show Modern Family and look forward to Wednesdays every week, but for some reason I never acutally watch it on Wednesday evening...I tivo it and watch it a few days later (I have no idea why).

10) I plan on being a Mexican Man for Halloween...this outta be good!

Happy Tuesday!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

I came down with a cold yesterday and it has made me feel yucky of course, but I'm pushing thru. I'm working, playing, and STILL going to Keeneland! Are you surprised???

This week at work we had a pumpkin decorating/carving contest (the first of many to come). It was a huge HIT. Our employees BLIND AND SIGHTED ALIKE loved it! Everyone was so competitive and we had a great time. Here were the winners (of course EVERY pumpkin got some kind of award or honorable mention)!

1st Place...The "Naked" Pumpkin

2nd Place...Adorable pumpkin created by our Braille Transcription Dept!

3rd Place...The Pumpkin Eating Pumpkin!

Here are a few pictures of our employees enjoying themselves sipping on hot apple cider and sharing their lunch with the company of friends/co-workers.

And my personal favorite...our sweet receptionist experiencing the inside(s) of a pumpkin for the first time in her life...can you tell she loves it????

Happy pumpkin decorating season...have a great weekend friends.

Y I K E S ! ! ! !

Yikes, I'm getting my esophagus stretched in the morning...I'm a bit nervous, but I've heard it's a pretty common precedure. I will be excited when I can eat without feeling as if my food is taking 45 minutes to pass into my stomach!!

On a more fun note...Keeneland again this weekend!

Last weekend looked a bit like this...

I didn't bet on a single race and actually didn't even watch a single race, but that may be a good thing because it saved me a lot of money :)

Happy Monday to my blogging friends. I may visit you tomorrow when I'm at home with a new throat!!!

Workin for the Weekend!!!

My picture uploader has decided not to work so this will be a boring post!

I'm working late tonight (I have a feeling this will become more frequent as my responsibilities change at work). I am definitely workin for the weekend though because I took a half day tomorrow (even though I shouldn't have), and we are going to Keeneland on Saturday!!! The forecast is SUNNY and 69!! Hooray!

Hope everyone has a good weekend...I say that and it's only Thursday!

Weekend excitement!!

It's Thursday afternoon and I'm yearning for the weekend! We don't have plans Friday night, but I kind of want to go see the new movie about Facebook (Social Network???) even though I'm not much of a movie person. Saturday I would love to go shopping, but I have to watch spending these days (who doesn't???). On to the good stuff though, Saturday night my girl friends and I are going to Dayton for the Eric Church / Miranda Lambert concert! YAY! Two of my FAV's!

I can't wait to hear "These Boots" by Mr. Church and "Time to get a Gun" by Ms. Lambert, HA! I sound like a redneck! LOL.

Sunday is of course the Bengals game! I love my season tickets! We were all disappointed last week when the Bengals lost to the BROWNS, UGH! Hopefully we are in for some fun on Sunday!

I will of course be sporting my T.O. jersey courtesy of my good friends (and neighbors) Jen and Eric...perfect birthday gift!
