GUESS WHAT?

I got this last weekend:

I'm loving every minute of it! I think after three cars in a little over one-year, I have finally found one I want to keep. Acutally I HAVE to but the best part is that I WANT to!

So...Mr. Ocho Cinco left us for the Patriots! If you could only see me rolling my eyes and hear me making the pffft sound!

My gag reflex is taking over at the moment.

I think I have bad taste in jerseys...

Lets see...GONE, GONE & GONE! Great...now I have to start all over.

My next one will be someone from the Bengals defense!

Have a good FRIDAY!

Sundays

I'm not ready for the work week to begin!

Here is what I do on Sundays...

Yep...you see that correctly. If I'm really lazy I lay around and watch Spongebob...LOL!

I need to be cleaning, mulching, tanning, cooking or doing something productive but nope...it's me and the dogs and spongebob square pants today.

It's time for....

Eating healthy and losing weight.

I feel like this:

Seriously...that's what I feel like at this very moment.

I'm not much of a runner, but walking out in this heat has to be just as good as far as burning calories. I need to convince myself to work out ALOT over the next couple of months! And I need to eat healthier of course.

I set a goal last month to paint my bathroom well guess what? I didn't do it :) This month I need to mulch my landscaping...it looks hideous. It looks like this:

Ha! Just kidding that is clearly not my house and clearly not my landscaping. I couldn't find a picture yucky enough to illustrate how bad it looks right now.

So on to my quest for a vehicle I acutally like. I'm thinking one of these:

Maybe I should stop day dreaming.

Have a good Tuesday...I'm ready to head home!

What's a happenin hot stuff????

Whew it has been hot here the last week or so...it was 101 in my car yesterday! I think I could handle a couple more pool/lake trips and then I'm ready to head into fall! (I know some of you are cursing me right now.)

So whats been happenin lately?? T H I S !!!!

What is their to say. Here's my final "two cents worth". I think she did it. I also think if I were on the jury I would NOT have been able to convict her either. I hate to say that b/c I really do THINK she did it. The problem is you can't really convict someone just because you THINK they did it. I did however DESPISE her defense team and thought they presented a horrible case. Not to mention that their little celebration party after the verdict was UN-CALLED FOR!

Moving on...

My sweet puppy Rupp has kennel cough!!!!!!! What in the world?????!!!!

We will no longer be taking him to PET%$&@#*$!! (I feel bad actually saying the name of the place online...other people may love it.) I do hope he gets better soon...poor baby! Funny story though. Matt was so mad about taking him to the vet because he was convinced that it was something small like eating too much grass. When I brought him home and told him what was wrong he actually had to admit that I was right and he was wrong and I made the good decision :)

This weekend we will be attending a Sublime and 311 concert. Guess I better start listening to some of their music, lol. (I know a song or two.)

Hope you're having a good week so far.

Stay cool!

A day in the life of...

ME

I've always thought it would be fun to do this so here goes! This was "A day in the life of ME" from yesterday:

Morning:
Worked from home before heading out to Clovernook Country Club to hang with the kids who are participating in our Youth Discovery Summer Program. Yestersday was week two of "survivor camp" which is basically just a recreational camp for kids who are blind or visually impaired. Here are a few of the kids learning to golf:

Seriously good stuff...seriously. The kids had a blast, the golf pro's learned a thing or two about people who are blind or visually impaired, the club manager said "his life had been changed"...good times all around!

Lunch:
The kids and volunteers headed in to the country club for lunch. The manager booked lunch for them in his best dining room and brought in three young professionals who are blind to talk to the kids about their work experience (they work for the club). The kids loved hearing these young adults talk about their ability to work and do things they hadn't thought possible. Here is a photo of one of the camp participants getting a surprise birthday cake...he was THRILLED!

After lunch:
The kids went swimming in the clubhouse pool (of course)! They had a great time. Some of them dont get a chance to swim at all and they were having a ball! There were four lifeguards on duty just in case. I only snapped this photo since people do like to be photographed in their swimsuites :)

Afternoon:
While the kids finished swimming, I headed back to the office. I spent about an hour catching my boss up on the days festivities, checking emails, voicemails, arranging for a media appearance we have on Fox 19 on Tuesday morning, etc. etc. etc.

Late afternoon:
Alison and I had "coaching". She has been working for me for about 6 months and every other week she and I set a couple of hours aside to catch each other up on projects, issues, kudos, etc. We tried to go to a coffee shop but it was closed so we ended up at Molly Malones...nothing like coaching at a BAR! Ha! No drinking was involved though (well...just Pepsi). Afterwards I dropped a grant off to a foundation located a few miles away.

Evening:
I had some time to kill before my spa appointment so I went to Old Navy and bought some new short...I've grown out of my old ones. SIGH.

On to my "spa" appointment. I had a bikini wax and I will NEVER do it again. It was awful. Terrible. A nightmare. I have bruising and red dots/broken blood vessels all over...looks like I won't be taking off my shorts this weekend to expose my bathing suit bottoms! If I could show you a picture I would...just to discourage all of you from doing it!

After the awful appointment:
I went home did laundry, hung up clean laundry (from Maui), HA, did dishes (the kind that sit in the sink for a week because they can't go in the dishwasher), gave myself a pedicure, entertained all FOUR dogs, caught up on the Casey Anthony trial, etc. etc. etc.!

Well...there was an unusual day in the life of ME! Hope you had a good day...minus the SPA appointment of course!
