We are leaving on Friday morning for our now annual houseboat trip on Lake Cumberland. We have seven couples going and I couldn't be more excited!!! I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to give a little gift to all the girls and here is what I came up with...

Aren't they adorable??? I can't wait to give them to everyone. I got them off of etsy of course from

Hope you all had a good Monday!

Random Saturday

Well, we are supposed to be on Lake Cumberland enjoying this perfect weather, but our friends/neighbors had a bit of a problem with their boat right before we were set to leave so here we are sitting at home. All in all, it's probably a good thing since we will be at the lake next weekend and the weekend after that!

I took a half day off of work yesterday and stopped by a new store at Crestview Hills called "Charming Charlie" and I am in love, ha! I wasn't expecting much, but it's a HUGE boutique organized by color with all kinds of goodies...scarves, sunglasses, purses, shoes, clothing, jewelry...everything!

If you have one nearby I highly recommend you stop by! It's so much fun and affordable!

Have a good weekend.

Movie Review Blog & Birthday's

I'm excited to announce that my brother Nolan has started a blog of his own! He loves watching movies of all kinds (almost), so he came up with the idea of writing movie reviews. His first review is of the movie Orphan.

He would love for you to read and follow his blog! Have a visit...

On another note, we had a fun weekend and it was semi-relaxing (since we didn't have any out of town trips scheduled). Friday, I met Brooke at Grandview Tavern for drinks and we enjoyed ourselves as we always do. Saturday, Brooke and I went to the pool (only for a bit since it started to get really cloudy). Saturday evening about 12 people went out to dinner for my Dad's 50th birthday. We were going to make it a surprise, but figured out quickly that it would be difficult to pull that off. I'm mad at myself for not getting very good pictures, but here is my Dad getting ready to blow out his candle.

Happy 50th Dad! Remember...50 is the new 30, HA!

Nolan's birthday was on Sunday, so we celebrated his as well that evening. Here is Nolan ready to blow out his candle.

Happy 25th Nolan aka Pickles...HA! PS. we ate at a restaurant called Embers on Montgomery Road and it was VERY good!

Sunday, was the first pre-season Bengals game! WHO DEY! Matt and I have season tickets for the first time and we couldn't be more excited! PLUS, I'm super duper excited that T.O. signed on this season...go 81!!

Second pre-season game this Friday! Have a great week.

Libby Ryder's Blog

Today I looked at a blog I've been hearing about. It's actually my brothers friend's wife's blog. It's called "Don't Waste Your Cancer". Please read this blog. Follow this blog. Pray for this family. They are going through a lot and could use all the prayers they can get. I know Libby's husband through my brother, but do not know Libby. If you have time, start from the beginning of her posts...the very first one is dated Saturday, July 24th.

This is such a reminder that most of us have "small" problems in comparision.

Have a good weekend everyone.
