Yikes, I'm getting my esophagus stretched in the morning...I'm a bit nervous, but I've heard it's a pretty common precedure. I will be excited when I can eat without feeling as if my food is taking 45 minutes to pass into my stomach!!

I didn't bet on a single race and actually didn't even watch a single race, but that may be a good thing because it saved me a lot of money :)

Workin for the Weekend!!!

My picture uploader has decided not to work so this will be a boring post!

I'm working late tonight (I have a feeling this will become more frequent as my responsibilities change at work). I am definitely workin for the weekend though because I took a half day tomorrow (even though I shouldn't have), and we are going to Keeneland on Saturday!!! The forecast is SUNNY and 69!! Hooray!

Weekend excitement!!

It's Thursday afternoon and I'm yearning for the weekend! We don't have plans Friday night, but I kind of want to go see the new movie about Facebook (Social Network???) even though I'm not much of a movie person. Saturday I would love to go shopping, but I have to watch spending these days (who doesn't???). On to the good stuff though, Saturday night my girl friends and I are going to Dayton for the Eric Church / Miranda Lambert concert! YAY! Two of my FAV's!



I can't wait to hear "These Boots" by Mr. Church and "Time to get a Gun" by Ms. Lambert, HA! I sound like a redneck! LOL.

Sunday is of course the Bengals game! I love my season tickets! We were all disappointed last week when the Bengals lost to the BROWNS, UGH! Hopefully we are in for some fun on Sunday!


I will of course be sporting my T.O. jersey courtesy of my good friends (and neighbors) Jen and Eric...perfect birthday gift!

Fall Decorations (not mine)

I decided I would post some of my Mom's beautiful fall decorations! She does a great job every year of decorating...wait until I post Christmas pictures! I was going to take pictures of the VERY few decorations I have up this year, but I had an EXTREMELY ugly encounter with a HUGE black spider when I went outside to take a picture of my mums, pumpkins and outdoor wreath. I am terrified of spiders and this one had me freaking out for at least 30 minutes, ha! It's best to just say there are mums all over my front porch and a broom still laying there because I'm too scared to go outside and get it!! LOL.

As I look at the pictures I snapped of my office, I realize how severely unorganized this post is going to make me look, ha! I recently got a promotion at work and although my new responsibilities aren't supposed to start until October 11th, I have already found myself SWAMPED! We are leaving on Friday morning for our now annual houseboat trip on Lake Cumberland. We have seven couples going and I couldn't be more excited!!! I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to give a little gift to all the girls and here is what I came up with...

Random Saturday

Well, we are supposed to be on Lake Cumberland enjoying this perfect weather, but our friends/neighbors had a bit of a problem with their boat right before we were set to leave so here we are sitting at home. All in all, it's probably a good thing since we will be at the lake next weekend and the weekend after that!

I took a half day off of work yesterday and stopped by a new store at Crestview Hills called "Charming Charlie" and I am in love, ha! I wasn't expecting much, but it's a HUGE boutique organized by color with all kinds of goodies...scarves, sunglasses, purses, shoes, clothing, jewelry...everything!


If you have one nearby I highly recommend you stop by! It's so much fun and affordable!

On another note, we had a fun weekend and it was semi-relaxing (since we didn't have any out of town trips scheduled). Friday, I met Brooke at Grandview Tavern for drinks and we enjoyed ourselves as we always do. Saturday, Brooke and I went to the pool (only for a bit since it started to get really cloudy). Saturday evening about 12 people went out to dinner for my Dad's 50th birthday. We were going to make it a surprise, but figured out quickly that it would be difficult to pull that off. I'm mad at myself for not getting very good pictures, but here is my Dad getting ready to blow out his candle.

Nolan's birthday was on Sunday, so we celebrated his as well that evening. Here is Nolan ready to blow out his candle.


Happy 25th Nolan aka Pickles...HA! PS. we ate at a restaurant called Embers on Montgomery Road and it was VERY good!

Sunday, was the first pre-season Bengals game! WHO DEY! Matt and I have season tickets for the first time and we couldn't be more excited! PLUS, I'm super duper excited that T.O. signed on this season...go 81!!
